Boxing is still decades before MMA as a sports market share, like it or not. A boxing match is almost overwhelming for Avid fans of MMA, but there is a huge difference between Top Rank, HBO contract and Spike TV. MMA is just beginning as a public sport. I that if they can keep staying within legal requirements, so that nothing can stop MMA taking over boxing. We're not there yet, however, and is not to deny it's true. From now on, the UFC is more popular than boxing in the United States or in any other country.
